Music Therapy

Music therapy is the use of music by a certified therapist to elicit positive changes in cognitive, social, physical, and emotional functioning. Research and case studies support the validity of music as therapy. Small groups sessions are available for ages preschool through teenage - group goals are socialization, cognitive/academic skills, motor skills, and communication skills and will vary according to the individuals in the group.

Our music therapist offers individual music therapy and adaptive piano / guitar lessons. In addition, she has group classes for children 3-6 with auto-sensory processing disorders, high-functioning autism, Asperger's, or developmental delays who are able to function in a 1:5 setting.
