Piano

Piano is an excellent first instrument for developing the musical skills of your child. Piano education will provide your child with a source of life-long joy and a sense of musical accomplishment.

Not a child? If you are an adult and you are thinking of learning to play a musical instrument, you're not alone! Millions of adults are learning to play the piano, using revolutionary new materials - for adult beginners!

Hymn Improvisation

Are you a church musician who can perform the hymns on the piano/organ as written, but you cannot add fill-ins? Group improvisation instruction, in which you learn to "expand" the written notation, is also provided on a weekly basis or in workshop format (call for details about workshops).

A new hymn improvisation method has just been released. The method is based upon research results from Dr. Rogers' doctoral study, and focuses upon developing two skills that serve as the foundation for adding tasteful embellishments to standard hymns and worship music. Keyboard Instruction

Research shows that beginning to intermediate students learn as well or better in piano groups with electronic keyboards as students who take costlier private lessons (when a student reaches a certain proficiency in playing, however, private lessons are recommended).

  • 45 minute lesson - Class meets once weekly
  • Students are movitated to practice to keep up with others in the group
  • Students may practice silently with headphone, yet the teacher may listen to the student via headphone
  • The class will also play together (volume employed) as a small ensemble - exciting for the students!
